Rebecca Peters

I grew up in a little town called Tinton Falls and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at The College of New Jersey in 1996. After college, I worked at Prudential Financial as an P&C Underwriter and Business Analyst while earning my Master’s Degree in Business Administration at Monmouth University. After acquiring my MBA, I worked as a Senior Product Development Analyst at Insurance Services Office (ISO) in Jersey City – an organization that sets the standard for the insurance industry.

Although I was experiencing success in the corporate environment, I felt like something was missing. I had such a strong desire for the time I spent on earth to have a greater impact for eternity. At age 30, God used a painful trial in my life to help me discover my true passion and purpose for His kingdom. I nervously stepped forward one Sunday to serve as an Assistant Children’s Church teacher for an incredible group of first graders at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge. After that Sunday, I couldn’t imagine doing anything else. All week I thought about the lesson for the next Sunday and the activities I could do with the kids to help them grasp the Bible story.

I began praying that God would open a door so that I could minister to children and parents “all the time.” I prayed that God would allow me to lead and inspire others about reaching kids for Christ by igniting that same passion to influence the next generation. God answered prayer mightily and I left the corporate environment to move to Huntersville, North Carolina and become the Children’s Ministry Associate for Lake Forest Church for four years and then the Director of Children’s Ministry at Williamson’s Chapel Brawley Campus for a year. I had a blast working with great teams to create small groups for kids and dynamic large group environments.

In September of 2011, God opened the incredible door of working at Life.Church in Edmond, Oklahoma. As the Elementary Coordinator for the Edmond Campus, I led the weekend experiences and small group ministry for LifeKids ages 1st through 4th grade. I was deeply blessed and honored to serve alongside an amazing group of people completely sold out for the Gospel and leading others to become fully devoted followers of Christ.

It was there that I met and fell in love with my wonderful husband, Thomas and his two beautiful daughters, Racheal Lynn (age 11) and Annie Lorene (age 5). We were married in August of 2012 and a month later blessed with the pregnancy of Sophie Mae. God has now called us to return to North Carolina as a family and opened the awesome door to serve as the KidLIFE Director for LIFE Fellowship! I am excited to discover what God has next for KidLIFE and am privileged and blessed to serve the body of LIFE Fellowship in this role.”
