Men's Life

Have you ever found yourself asking, “what does it mean to be a man?”  That is a significant question that every man must consider.  If you ask the average person to give you a definition of authentic manhood, most would not be able to do it.

As a society, we have turned to hopeless sources for this definition - professional athletes, Hollywood, government –all of which have let us down or leave us still longing for an example of a true, authentic man.

Men’s Life at Life Fellowship believes there is a clear-cut, biblical definition of manhood.  We have adopted Robert Lewis’ (creator of Men’s Fraternity) definition, which is a real man is one who:

    • Rejects passivity
    • Accepts Responsibility
    • Leads courageously
    • Believes God for the greater reward.

It’s this definition that drives and motivates us in all we do - at work, at home, in our church and community.  We are called to embrace this mission of manhood and take this calling seriously.

Our men learn and live out these principles in a variety of venues.  We are currently going through the Men’s Fraternity:  Quest for Authentic Manhood curriculum.  We meet on Thursday morning AT 6:15 in the Lake Norman Baptist fellowship hall.  All men are welcome to attend.

We will also be kicking off additional studies later this spring and on into the summer.  More information will be posted soon.  We also have a variety of social events and retreats planned for 2008.
