Bobby grew up in the sunny state of California. The furthest thing from his mind during his youth years was God. In fact, Bobby had never even heard the Good News of Jesus Christ until he was nineteen years of age. But while playing college baseball in Southern Californian, a teammate invited him to church to hear an evangelist by the name of Greg Laurie. After several visits to hear this evangelist, and many questions later, Bobby was ready to give his life to Jesus Christ. This was literally a life changing experience. Bobby gave up the baggage from his past and let go of his vices and fully surrendered to live his life for Jesus Christ. Bobby has said, "The last job my buddies from the past would have ever imagined me doing is serving as a pastor!"

After coming to Christ, Bobby got plugged into Saddleback church in CA. It was there at Saddleback, in 1996, where real change began to take root in his own life, and that Bobby first got the vision to start a church. To prepare for a life of full-time ministry he then moved to Arkansas to attend school. This is where he also met and married his wife Heather, whom Bobby describes as his "true best friend."

God prepared Bobby and Heather for the dream of starting a church by giving Bobby practical hands on experience through a leadership residency at Fellowship Bible Church in Little Rock, an internship opportunity at Fellowship Bible Church North in Plano, Texas, and a past associate teaching pastor position at Celebration Church in Conway, Arkansas.

Bobby received his theological training from Central Baptist College in Conway, Arkansas, and received his Masters of Theology (ThM) from Dallas Theological Seminary. Currently he is working on his Doctorate of Ministry degree in Apologetics under Dr. Norman Geisler at Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Bobby and his wife Heather also serve on the Family Life "Weekend to Remember" marriage conference speaking team.

The Conway's hobbies include: spending time with their two children Haley and Dawson, going on date nights together, and taking vacations where they can be surrounded by God's beautiful nature.

Finally, after years of ministry training and education in September of 2004 the doors of Life Fellowship opened up to the community of the Lake Norman area and Charlotte. Now as lead pastor of Life Fellowship, Bobby desires to use his visionary gift to chart our course and lead us in reaching more people for Jesus Christ.
